
Miles City, MT - The Buccaneers baseball team continued their seven game winning streak play on Tuesday, March 29, with a win over rival Miles Community College (MT) The Buccaneers are now 7-6 on the year.
Sophomore Tanner Newman (Bozeman, MT) pitched 7 innings and allowed five hits, two runs- two earned- while striking out four and improving to 1-1 on the year.
Sophomore Bobby King (Brigham City, UT) Pitched 2 innings in relief and allowed one hit, one run. While collecting his first save of the year.
Meanwhile, Miles Community College (7-14 0-0) allowed five runs, 5 earned, and nine hits. Ty Church (Delta, UT) pitched three innings in relief, allowing two runs and took the loss.
Dawson Freshman Hunter Balmer (Brigham City, UT) went 3-5 with one RBI and two doubles. Freshman Austin Sheppick (West Jordan, UT) went 2-5 with two RBIs and one double, and sophomore Chris Mjelstad (Billings, MT) went 1-3 with one RBI.
The Buccaneers (7-6, 0-0) return to action this weekend, times TBA due to weather.
