In the Spirit of Halloween, Dawson Community College Associated Student Body (ASB) invites families and friends to gather for two special funtastic and spooktacular events on campus at 300 College Drive.
The college seems unassuming in the days leading up to Halloween but for three days at the end of October watch out! A Haunted House is about to materialize in the Dungeon (basement) of the Main Building on campus.
"This is our first year doing a project like this" said ASB advisor Jullie Griffith. "We have a great group of students and they are psyched to create the Haunted house. The ASB wants to give the kids in our neighborhood something to look forward to. Our Boo-ccaneer Haunted House is indoors and designed for kids 4 and up. We will be open October 26 and 27 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and October 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Children 12 and under are $1.00, Adults $3.00, and Groups / Family of 4 are $10.00. Monies raised from the haunted house will fund student activities, the awards banquet and graduation ceremony. It's going to be spooktacular!"
"Our second event is FREE" said Griffith. "October 31 from 4pm to 6pm DCC ASB invites trick or treaters to TRUNK-OR-TREAT. Yes, that's right Trunk-or-Treat, a safe and fun alternative to trick or treating door to door. Children can TRUNK-OR-TREAT around the DCC parking lot gathering candy from decorated vehicles manned by DCC employees and student club members." Parents can warm up with a complementary hot beverage served by the Buccaneers.
DCC Alumni are always welcome to engage with DCC's current Associated Student Body Association as they continue their community outreach effort this school year. Alumni are encouraged to share ideas with Jullie Griffith, ASB Advisor, 406-377-9412.
