HEALTH INSURANCE?

Dawson Community College offers no mandatory student health insurance program. Student health insurance is available through local banks and insurance agents.

INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS?

Dawson Community College athletic programs provide collegiate competition and home town action for the general student body's personal enjoyment. The varsity sports available are men's and women's basketball, men's and women's rodeo, men's baseball, and women's fast pitch softball.

INTRAMURAL ATHLETICS?

The Dawson Community College Intramural Program aims to provide students with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of recreational activities. Through participation, we hope the individual will develop an appreciation of the worthy use of leisure time with a positive attitude toward physical activity and social interaction. Activities are organized on a team or individual basis enabling everyone from the interested beginner to the serious athlete to participate. This program has a faculty Intramural Director and is organized and administered by student assistants.

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS?

Got a special interest? DCC has several clubs and organizations for you to choose from. These clubs vary in size and interest.

CAREER CENTER?

Dawson is aware that students are faced with many adjustments in college. These may involve personal, social, academic, or career decisions. The services of the Career Center are available to assist students with their college career choices, to provide occupational information, and to provide academic advising and aid in attaining educational goals.

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES?

Services include educational support through remedial instruction; tutoring; financial aid counseling; academic, social and personal counseling; and cultural enrichment activities. The program also serves in a networking capacity for those students who wish to transfer to other institutions. All services are free.
