Financial Aid Eligibility
Most financial aid is based on your "need", which is determined using the information you report on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), such as household size, number in college, family income, assets, liabilities, retirement needs, and your earnings from employment. These factors are used to calculate a fair estimate of what you and your family can provide for educational expenses, known as your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), and what "need" is remaining. It is this "need" that determines the amount of your need-based financial aid package. Outside resources such as scholarships, Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Benefits, etc. are all considered as "need-based" financial aid as well, before Federal or State funds are awarded.

COST OF EDUCATION |
Cost of attendance is addressed
on another page, however, students' expenses will vary according to such things
as residency status and living arrangements. In estimating your College costs,
remember not to overlook between-semester expenses. The financial aid award
year begins with Fall semester and includes the following spring and summer
semesters, however financial aid does not include expenses between semesters.
