What is the difference between a webcast and a webinar?

• A webcast is a pre-recorded presentation that is not interactive.
• A webinar is presented in real time. Participants can ask questions of the presenter and receive feedback.

             Dawson Community College offers three workshop options.

Steps to register for a workshop or webinar

Step 1: PRE-REGISTER for ALL Workshops with MaryAnn Vester, Director of Extended Learning at 377-9409 or e-mail MaryAnn at [email protected].

(Occasionally there will be a different sign-up process. Please read workshop descriptions below.)

Step 2: Pick the application option that best fits you:

(If you have taken a class recently and believe that you are in the DCC system already contact Student Services at 377-9411 to check your status.)

Non-Degree Application
For students taking a course(s) who are not intending to earn a degree from Dawson Community College.
Re-Admit Application
For students who are former/previous degree-seeking student returning to complete courses.

Reserve Officer Training 2012

Dawson Community College in Glendive, Montana is pleased to offer Reserve Officer Training, a 5-credit college course intended to instruct students in 88 hours of training for reserve police officers as required by the Montana Code Annotated.

Dates: Lecture sessions:  January 20-22 & January 27-29 (MUST attend both sessions)
           1st Aid & CPR: April 20-21 (May be waived if current on 1st Aid & CPR)
            Firearms Training: April 28-29 & May 5-6 (May be waived if completed through your agency)

Basic Computer Skills

Overcome your anxiety and discover the useful and fun side of computers.  Learn at a relaxed pace and gain a full range of understanding about computer hardware and the operating system to word processing, the Internet, and email in this beginning computer course.  Class is limited to 12 students for hands-on assistance.

Computer Basics

Do you want to learn the Computer Basics? This 4 session course will cover getting started with e-mail, internet, files, backups, and troubleshooting.
This course will give beginners the confidence to use a computer at home and work. It is free to attend, but students must pay a registration fee to receive one half-credit from Dawson Community College.
Dates: January 24th, 26th, 31st and February 2nd
