Stained Glass Creations

This workshop is an introduction to working in stained glass. The student will explore the preparation of stained glass designs by learning to cut glass, put together a panel using copper foil and soldering the panel. The class will be three, three-hour sessions. Registration includes glass and supplies. If student has safety glasses, please bring them to the class.

QuickBooks Basics

This hands-on course will help to understand the basics for setting up your business in QuickBooks, including chart of accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, entering checks, bank reconciliation and how to access financial reports. The instructor will also share valuable guidance about how to customize QuickBooks to your business and how to comply with tax reporting requirements. Laptops with the 2015 version will be provided for use in the class. The course also includes QuickBooks Pro 2015 Quick Reference Guide. Additional reference materials are available for purchase. Through DCC Workforce Development: Intuit QuickBooks Fundamental Learning Guide 2014/2015, which includes a onetime use 140 day trial of QuickBooks Accountant Software for PC, $81.95. For purchase by yourself (not endorsed by DCC): QuickBooks 2015: The Missing Manual: The Official Intuit Guide to Quickbooks 2015. Renewal Units are available if needed. This course is limited to 10 students. 

Basic Computer Skills

This hands-on course will help to understand the basics of operating a computer system. The topics include basic computer vocabulary, components of a computer, description of operating systems, customizing the desktop, directory and file creation, email and attachments, use of search engines and basic web browsing techniques. This is a 4 session class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
