Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after October 1 as possible. DCC's financial aid priority deadline is March 1. 

Choose the type of student that best represents you
  • Early Start Student is a high school student enrolled in a college course prior to high school graduation. 
  • First-Time Student has not previously attended a post-secondary institution after high school graduation or GED completion. 
  • International Student could be either freshmen or transfer students, but they are from outside of the United States. 
  • Non-Degree Student is a student taking a course who is not intending to earn a degree from Dawson Community College.
  • Re-Admit Student is a former/previous degree-seeking student returning to complete courses. 
  • Transfer Student has previously attended a post-secondary institution after high school graduation or GED completion. 
  • Online Student can be freshmen, transfer, international, or continuing education learners.
