Thank you to all that made our community feel alive and vibrant yesterday. As we began the 75th anniversary celebration, we wanted to literally, “put the community back into Dawson Community College.” We also, conversely want to put DCC back into our community. As the second definition of community states, “A feeling of fellowship” was strong yesterday. We want to harness that emotion into action as we continue working through a critical period in time. We acknowledge our history, we strive for improvement today, and we build toward a collective continually improving future for our community, both economically and spiritually.
As part of our continuing move toward involving our community and remaining transparent, we invite you to attend, tomorrow evening, Thursday August 27, 6:00 PM in the Toepke Center Auditorium, a presentation of the data that is driving our decision-making and our proposal to balance the DCC Budget. After the presentation, which we anticipate will last for nearly 50 minutes, we welcome written comments and questions. We will respond to those appropriately, within all legal guidelines, in writing, to you individually. We will also compile a public document with the most frequently asked questions and our responses, on our Website within a two-week period after the meeting.
Again, we appreciate the social gathering and the fellowship that we experienced yesterday. Let’s maintain that energy as we focus on improving processes, nourishing growth, and strengthening a vibrant and successful community. Thank you Glendive, surrounding communities, and all of our stakeholders, let us join in fellowship again, often.
