CONTRIBUTIONS AND GIFTS

The president or designee is authorized to accept contributions and gifts on behalf of Dawson Community College.  In the event that acceptance of a contribution or gift requires college resources that were not budgeted for that use, acceptance of the contribution or gift must be approved by the Board of Trustees.

The president or designee must approve any solicitation of funds or donations and any fund raising activities on behalf of Dawson Community College by any college department, unit, or employee; alumni organization; the Associated Student Body, Student Senate, and affiliated student organizations and clubs; and independent foundations.

The president or designee will periodically review the college’s insurance policies to ensure the coverage is adequate and meets any legal requirements.
